Purpose:
The objective of hontreasurer.com is to provide a simple replacement for manual booking for small and medium sized Membership Societies, Charities, Small Companies and a teaching tool for accounting. These objectives are achieved as follows:
Screen Design: Consistent screen designs with the ability to sort and select on all records in the system. Verification of input at every stage. Facilities to enter missing information at the time it is available. User preferences to make data entry easier and presentation helpful.
Reports: Reports designed to a consistent standard and which may be viewed, printed, emailed or sent to a spreadsheet-readable format.
Startup:
A minimal requirement to start up with a simple framework being provided. Local information can all be added as the system is used. However, some planning is desirable.
Security: All users have a Role which defines what they are allowed to access within the system.
Database: Centrally located and administered and secured.
Program: Centrally located and delivered & installed automatically in the latest available version.
Technology: SACS hontreasurer.com uses JavaTM Technology from Sun MicroSystems with Swing User Interface and Datavision Reporting. It is developed  using Netbeans IDE.
