OK, so you have money in the tin but not in the Bank. If we pay in 150.00 that will leave 16.75 in the tin. Enough to buy coffee for the next Seminar.

Select Transactions/Account Transfers/Cash To Bank. Put 150.00 in the amount field, press F9 on the Payin field (which should give you the next payin number in the book) and press OK. Done.

If you look at Balances/Account Categories, you should see 146.00 Cash, but when you expand it you will see that the Cash has gone to 11.00 and the Bank to135.00 - we are no longer in overdraft!

If we take a closer look at Income & Expenditure, we can now see how we are doing. We have a profit of 146.00 which is made up of 161.00 and expenses of 15.00. The Income is made up of Annual Membership of 100.00 and 61.00 profit on the Seminar. The 61.00 profit on the Seminar is made up from non-members cash receipts of 157.75 less 50.00 hall hire, 36.00 lecturer's fee and 10.75 of our own expenses.

Now the system is begining to generate real information!
