Transaction
Types
|
There
are many types of transaction
in the hontreasurer.com system. There are divided roughly into
Receipts,
Payments and Opening Balances. For more transaction types, see the
Bluebell and Foxglove editions.
|
| Receipts |
Receipts
may be posted as Cash to Cash Account, Cheque to Bank Account or Cash
to Bank Account. The general model is that Cash will be received into
the User's Cash Account (i.e. his tin or wallet) and Cheques are paid
into a Bank Account. The Cash and Bank account which the system uses
are held against the User but can be changed temporarily if, for
example, the Treasurer is temporarily doing work for an Activity
Organiser. All receipts may be either set against an Invoice or not,
but in any case will be recorded against a Member (or Contact) and an
Activity.
|
| Payments |
Payments
may be posted as Cheque Written, Cash paid from Cash Account, or other
type of transfer out of a Bank Account such as Internet, Telephone or
International. Payments always have a Member (or Contact) and an
Activity and may be against an Invoice received or not.
|
| Transfers |
Transfers
are between accounts and the following are provided for: Cash to Bank,
Bank to Cash and Bank to Bank. Transfers do not show as Income or
Expenditure.
|
| Opening
Balances |
Opening
Balances are a special type of transaction which do not show up as
Income or Expenditure. They may be posted onto any Account.

In hontreasurer.com, Cash means cash i.e. money, coins etc, usually
kept in a tin or someone's wallet.
