What can I do with Money on hontreasurer.com?

These are the things you can do with money on hontreasurer.com. It may not be the full list because features are being added all the time.  Note: almost all places in hontreasurer.com, including report displays, lists, text fields etc, will allow Copy and Select All clipboard actions, and some allow Cut and Paste as well.
Money In and Out

Users can enter, edit or delete (with appropriate authority):
  • Cheque received
  • Cheque paid
  • Cash received
  • Cash paid
  • Cash paid directly into bank account
  • Cash paid directly out of bank account
  • Bank Transfer In (SO, DD, Internet)
  • Bank Transfer Out (SO, DD, Internet)
  • Bank Interest
Money Housekeeping

Users can enter, edit or delete (with appropriate authority):
  • Transfer between accounts
  • Cash paid in and Cash taken out
  • Opening Account Balance
  • Opening Income & Expenditure
During entry or edit, users may also add or edit contacts and activities.
Viewing Transactions

  • View transactions with selection on any or all of the following: Text anywhere in the transaction, User who entered the transaction, Account or a selection of Accounts, Financial Year or a selection of Financial Years, Activity, Activity Group, Date Entered, Reference Number, Bank Statement Sheet number, Contact, Income or Expenditure or Journal, and Fund
  • On the transaction list, change the view to show either: reference number, payment type, bank statement sheet number and reeceipt number; or account, financial year, income/expenditure and fund
  • On the transactions list, change the order of the columns and/or the width of the columns
  • On the transactions list, sort the list into ascending or descending order, column by column (to get, for example Activities within Contact)
  • Print the list of displayed transactions
Bank Reconciliation
  • Find all unreconciled transactions
  • Allocate all unreconciled transactions to a bank statement sheet
  • Enter a reference number and a bank statement sheet number and reconcile automatically
  • Enter a bank statement sheet number and allocate and de-allocate transactions individually
  • Mark a transaction as "not outstanding" on a statement sheet (for reconciliation report)
  • Mark a transaction as "never cleared" (for reconciliation report)
  • Report on transactions by bank statement sheet, unreconciled transactions and totals in and out for a bank statement sheet
  • Construct a standard bank reconciliation report showing cash book total, bank balance and outstanding cheques.


Viewing Accounts

All these options are available for any selected financial year:
  • See balances on both sides of the balance sheet and drill down (expand the balances) by account category and account. On the income side, drill down all the way to individual transactions
  • See totals for each Activity and drill down to individual transactions
  • See totals for each activity group and expand these into activities
  • See totals for outstanding amounts from each Member (Contact)
  • All the above for any year and any month in any year.
Reports

In addition to the reports already mentioned on this page:
  • Print details and total for a paying in slip or cheque
  • Print profits for all activities and activity groups, with a list of transactions if required
  • Print transactions for a contact or all contacts with a specified status
  • Print Cashbook style reports on any account
  • Print transactions for a fund, regardless of account
  • Accounts and activities lists by accounting category.
Year End
  • Financial years may be "closed" to prevent further postings being made and consolidated transactions into an opening balance for the following year
  • Transactions from "closed" years may be deleted.

  • Profit & Loss by activity
  • Profit & Loss by accounting category
  • Profit & Loss
  • Balance Sheet
