hontreasurer.com is primarily a cashbook system, although it has many characteristics of much larger systems. It is a double-entry system, but in the majority of cases the users' view is of only one transaction, making it simpler and much easier to understand. Ttransactions may be edited just as a spreadsheet user would edit them. Unlike a spreadsheet, however, a history of all transaction changes is kept by the system as an audit trail. Income and Expenditure headings are cast as Activities which can be grouped for reporting purposes. Balances can be queried onscreen and 'drilled down' to find all the components.

Transactions and Activities are assigned to a Financial Year so that, when these are different, the system can post Debtors & Creditors automatically. Opening Balances may be posted "single entry" as a convenience. The system is simple yet effective. For more complex applications, the Bluebell or Foxglove models may be required.
hontreasurer.com is a natural progression from doing accounts in Manual Books or on Spreadsheets, which are fine as far as they go but quickly run into annoying restrictions.

hontreasurer.com provides a traditional spreadsheet format for transactions, which can be sorted and selected in a very convenient manner. The totalling, however, is done automatically. There is plenty of space to write notes against each transaction. Reports can be viewed on screen, printed, or emailed to other parties.  Bank reconciliations are made very easy.

hontreasurer.com can keep books for Bank Accounts, both current (checking) and deposit (savings), and Cash Accounts (i.e. cash tins).

You can delegate entry of Memberships to a Membership Secretary, and all paying in can be done by the person receiving the cheque or cash.

Your auditor can view your accounts from his or her computer and there is no need to be without books etc.
